"Cluedo"

Before the 1985 film, there was a board game called, "Cluedo", designed by an Englishman named Anthony E. Pratt.  This game first came out in 1949 by Waddingtons.  Ever since its start, "Clue" or "Cluedo" has never lost its popularity with people around the world.  Now it is put out by "Parker Brothers" and continues to entertain all who have an insatiable lust for a good mystery!

This version is from either 2012 or 2013- sometimes they change the location up, its always a mansion but not necessarily an old Gothic mansion, sometimes its a Hollywood Hills type abode. But the game itself is still basically the same concept:

There have been soooo many versions of "Clue" released- from the Simpsons Clue to Big Bang Theory Clue, the list goes on and on!  Obviously this game won't be "dropping dead" anytime soon!

Get a Clue!!

I have loved the game "Clue" since I was a child.  My mom bought it for us and that was one of the few things we did together as a family- I loved it! At first my parents beat me at every single game, but then I started figuring some methods out and I actually got quite good.  When I met my husband Tony, I taught him a thing or two about the game and now HE beats me over the half the time! ;-)
Eh, that's okay- I still like to play.  One should never be a sore winner or loser.

I also remember as a kid, my mom renting me the 1985 movie, "Clue" starring: Tim Curry, Eileen Brennan, Madeline Kahn, Lesley Ann Warren, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, and Martin Mull.  Loved it as a kid, and its still a comfort film- I don't know how many times I watched my DVD copy or on NETFLIX.  I recently found that there was an official film soundtrack that was released in the 80's for the film, and also some books that were written based on the film as well.
The thing I love most about this film is the cast- they are ALL veteran comedians who each bring something hilarious to the mysterious table!  When this film was released, there were several different endings.  Each state or town the film was playing at had different endings- I think there were three or four.  So not everyone saw the exact same ending which was such a cool idea!  When it was released on VHS, you get to see all the endings in a row.  I personally think that what they did in the theaters was brilliant and totally made this movie stand out- it must have worked because "Clue" the movie is a cult classic with a big following.

It's no wonder I like the game of "Clue"- I love true crime, I watch "Forensic Files" and other ID Discovery shows.  I have been interested in psychology for the longest time.  So I think "Clue" was a perfect fit for me!  Its the classic game of "whodunnit", with what weapon, and where?  You get to pick your character, and make accusations on someone else.  And hopefully you are correct in your accusation, otherwise you're out of the game!
